Founded in Minnesota in 2003, Thousand Hills was built around a single differentiator: producing beef that is truly grass-fed for the animal's entire life, without the grain-finishing loophole that many 'grass-fed' brands exploit. Their AGA certification is maintained with independent third-party inspections. All 50 ranches in their network have also earned Audubon Conservation Ranching / Bird-Friendly Land certification from the National Audubon Society — a notable distinction that verifies habitat quality on every farm.

Thousand Hills works with family farms in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakotas, and has expanded its network to include Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast operations. The brand acquired Organic Prairie and Mighty Organic brands and now manages over 1 million acres under regenerative practices.
