About GrassFed Source
An independent editorial resource for consumers who want to understand, compare, and buy 100% grass-fed beef with confidence.
Our Mission
The grass-fed beef market is crowded, inconsistently labeled, and hard to navigate. "Grass-fed" can mean many things depending on the brand, the certification body, and the country of origin. Some products labeled grass-fed are only partially grass-fed. Some brands lack third-party certification entirely.
GrassFed Source exists to cut through that confusion. We research certifications, sourcing practices, and independent customer feedback so that consumers can make informed decisions without having to read USDA label regulations or cross-reference certification body standards themselves.
We do not sell beef. We are not paid by any brand we review. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions on purchases made through our links — at no extra cost to you. This means our incentive is to help you find the right product, not to promote any particular brand.
How We Research
Our brand and supplier assessments are built from publicly available data: third-party certification records (AGA, AWA, USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project, Certified Humane), farm documentation, sourcing region disclosures, and aggregated customer feedback across multiple platforms.
We do not base assessments on personal product purchases, sponsored relationships, or free samples. Where we cite certification status, we verify against the certifying body's public database or the brand's disclosed documentation.
For supplier and farm listings, we rely on publicly available business information and producer-submitted data. We encourage producers to submit corrections or updates if any information is inaccurate.
