Full Review
White Oak Pastures began in 1866 when James Edward Harris established a conventional farm. In 1995, Will Harrisβthe great-great-grandson of the founderβmade a radical decision to transition from conventional industrial farming to a regenerative, multi-species land management model. Today the farm spans over 3,200 acres of south Georgia pasture and raises cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese. The beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished on native pastures that have never been sprayed with synthetic chemicals.
White Oak Pastures operates its own USDA-inspected slaughter facility on the farm, ensuring the most humane handling possible and eliminating the stress of long-distance transport. The farm has been certified as carbon negative by General Mills, meaning it sequesters more carbon than it emitsβa remarkable achievement that has drawn international attention. Cuts are available direct-to-consumer via their website and through select retailers nationwide.
