Full Profile
White Oak Pastures began in 1866 when James Edward Harris established a conventional farm in Bluffton, Georgia. In 1995, Will Harris, the great-great-grandson of the founder, made a radical decision to transition to a regenerative, multi-species land management model. Today the farm spans over 3,200 acres and raises cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese.
The beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished on native pastures that have never been sprayed with synthetic chemicals. White Oak Pastures operates its own USDA-inspected slaughter facility on the farm, ensuring the most humane handling possible and eliminating the stress of long-distance transport. The farm has been independently certified as carbon-negative by General Mills, meaning it sequesters more carbon than it emits, a remarkable achievement that has drawn international attention.
Cuts are available direct via their website, through a farm store, and at select Whole Foods locations.
